In a campaign for ethical reform of the credit card industry. . .

Unite with other credit card users behind 5 basic demands for reform – reforms that are easy to understand and publicize – and will save you $

Print the interest rate on each credit card – forcing real interest rate competition among cards.

Limit contracts to standardized one page agreements – less room for tricks, traps, & fees.

Cap all credit card interest rates at 15%. Bring back tough usury laws.

Show transaction fees on sales receipts. Ethically, cash buyers should pay 2% less.

Require online calculators – so consumers can easily check statements for accuracy.

You can be a part of the “credit card revolt” – an effort by cardholders to stand up to the madness in the credit card industry and the Wall Street bankers who control it –

The first first goal of the credit card revolt is to help build and publicize a national consensus that credit cardholders have a right to see their interest rate printed on their credit card.

We challenge the credit card industry to explain to credit card holders why it refuses print the interest rate prominently on each card.

Basic fairness and business ethics entitle card users to see the interest cost that’s included in each card transaction (if the balance isn’t paid in full) – just as they are entitled to see the retail price.
